Safety on site is paramount. Wet, unhardened concrete is a highly alkaline, abrasive chemical substance. It can cause serious skin burns, ulceration, and severe eye damage if not handled correctly. We strongly urge all clients, contractors, and DIY users to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during the pour. This must include heavy-duty waterproof gloves, long waterproof trousers, long-sleeved tops, and protective safety goggles. If concrete comes into contact with the skin, wash it off immediately with copious amounts of clean water.
